Handmade hanging mobiles by Matt Richards

I wanted to share a little bit of link love with you all today.

Take a look at Capitalism for Creative People.  Rick DiBasio has a business that teaches people the steps of personal finances from the ground up – and he does it specifically for artists.  He understands the creative mind and also runs a blog called The Affluent Artist where he shares updated information and shared his struggles with, most recently, procrastination.  Rick is a great resource for artists with money who are trying to get organized.

One artist who has made an abundant living for himself and his family is Matt Richards of Konrad’s Mobiles.  Matt creates handmade custom art mobiles inspired by Alexander Calder that range in size from a foot across to 15 feet in diameter.  His work has been seen in gallaries, private collections, and corporate headquarters all over the world.  His latest piece is going to a private collector in the Middle East.

Christy Klug has some really awesome handmade metal jewelry.  Her metal & enamel pieces produce a cool effect and, girls pay attention, they’re shiny.  With only five years experience designing jewelry, Christy has won major awards and her work is being picked up all over the place.  Look for her at the Art Council Show in August in San Francisco, as well as an upcoming interview here on The Abundant Artist.
