Hello. I am Gyuri Kim who is in Kansas, and i will go back to my country, South Korea after i finish my curriculum of BFA, Painting.
During being in USA, I got to know how to make contact and how to achieve my works and get them exposed to outside. However, I am afraid of keeping what i do while i am in South Korea. I want to get my works exposed in USA, UK and EU because of my aesthetic style and plenty of art opportunities. Even though Twitter, Face book and blogs will help me a lot, I assume that i will have further problems. First, I cannot sell my works because of heavy shipping fee while i go back to my country. Second, I cannot be involved in any of art organization because they are basically based on region. I will have geographic problems. The organization site or agency will offer a lot of opportunities, Grants, Performance and events through Social Media though, I won’t be able to take part in. I will be buried in oblivion.
I am sad that I perhaps am going to lose the contacts but I really want to be socialized and build connects to USA, UK and EU. What i can do? How i can promote my works, sell works, introduce my works, grasp attentions on my painting ‘internationally’ by myself without any support from Museum or Galleries.
