I’m a jeweller/sculptor and am trying to figure out other ways of marketing my skills online. Your post on IWTYTBR came at the best time. I think there are alternative ways to show work other than solely through galleries. Look forward to learning a lot from you – thank you!
The title of your guest post caught my eye but I have already gotten past the syndrome. The way I look at myself at the moment is that I spent so much time developing my art I didn’t pay much attention to how to sell it. When I was getting started someone else sold my product well enough, when I figured out I was good enough to get more I no longer had the connections to find a money mentor. Now I am using you to help me survive the advise of “friends” who warn me not to get my hopes up because only other people ( rich, lucky, connected, criminal, etc.) make money and by the time you hear about an opportunity things ( time, situation, economy, etc.) will be different.
